Our Agency was founded in 1946 by Harold W. Borchardt, who purchased a small agency which he operated out of his home. In the many years since, we have grown to include two locations, Borchardt Insurance located at the dome building in Fairmont and Welcome Insurance located at the Welcome State Bank building in Welcome. With six insurance specialists, we serve the insurance needs of about 3, 000 individuals and families as well as approximately 100 business concerns in southern Minnesota. Using state-of-the-art computers, agency management systems, special rating computers and the internet ; we have positioned ourselves to head into the future while continuing to provide the relationship and service our clients have come to expect. We do not work for an insurance company, we work for you. We work on your side when you have a loss and follow through to see that you get a fair and prompt payment. We represent a carefully selected group of financially sound, reputable insurance companies, and we place your policy with the company offering the best coverage at a competitive price.
