I bought a home that had been vacant for 3 years and needed an electrician to come pull a permit and clear the meter that way the city would come out and inspect. I hired D @ C. When I arrived the electrician was in the house disconnecting all the neutral wires from the box. I asked him why he was doing that when the city only needed the meter inspected. He apologized and quickly started putting the neutrals back. I was dumbfounded by how fast and haphazardly they were put back in. Fast forward 1 month later. My friend and I were clueless why 2 kitchen sockets were nonfunctioning. We inspected the attic and each plugs output. I remembered the neutral wires in the panel. We turned off the main and sure enough. 3 neutral wires were completely out of their holders. By hand they were easily removed. Over time, this could be a serious issue. I spent 120 for an electrician to pull a permit and then set up my box in an unsafe manner. No thank you.
