Worst place of business and customer service I've ever encountered. The pick up date for my daughter birthday cake was on her birthday. As her father goes in to pick the cake up she acted as if she didn't know where the cake was until one of the employees pointed it out. Remind you we already had a sit down with this lady showed her pictures and everything that was required in order for us to have the perfect cake including paying for it. After telling her this cake wasn't at all what we wanted you can about tell from her face that she was frustrated basically already had an attitude before we got there she was rude and very disrespectful to me as a customer who has supported her business before and even then the work was very mediocre. The only reason I even gave her business another chance is because we are successful business owners and I feel like everyone deserves a chance but she proved me so wrong. I'm giving all you guys a heads up to take your business elsewhere. I would never go back and if I can I will stop anyone I know from giving this place any business.

Extremely disappointed!! Would never recommend to anyone and won't use them again. I live almost 2 hours away so, I explicitly explained what I wanted. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted. They had the exact color in the shop, so they had several examples to use right THERE! I came back in person 2 weeks later and spoke to the decorator myself. I reviewed every detail: I wanted a square bottom tier with a pillow on top and gold accents with the cake being mint/ sea foam green. She assured me it could done and I scheduled to get the cake the next week (today). The cake was WRONG COLOR. Bottom tier was WRONG SHAPE and the details were NOT GOLD. Some poorly designed ribbon and roping was white and cream instead. Nothing like what I described or wanted. I'm devastated because I live too far to come back and the event is too soon to have another one made. I expressed my dislikes to the owners and was met with unsympathetic attitude and no compensation. Horrible service.

Used Dreamcakes for yrs. Each time, something SMALL was wrong. Last time, I ordered 2 cakes, 1 for a photo session & the other for a bday. This included 3 repeating colors & a few repeating design details, simple. My orders were wrong & partially incomplete. It worked b/c despite the product not being what I wanted, it was esthetically pleasing and matched. Calls, emails and in-person trips-still wrong. I'm reasonable & want to leave you with this. While each of the 7 orders placed over 3 yrs had issues, nothing can’t be fixed with an apology. Last time, I was scolded for my requests. I understand that the designer may have been frustrated, but she should have never shared that frustration with a me. If you aren't going to ask for anything too custom, use them. If you have something they've never done, & your event is important enough that small details matter, look elsewhere. Great tasting cake & icing. 2 *'s. If it weren't for the harsh words, I would give them a 3 1/2 *'s.

Dream Cakes is the most delicious and decorative cakes in Mississippi. They customized both my wedding cake and grooms cake which was a complete replica of his car! Overall, I was pleased with the staff and wide range of selections. If you can dream it, they can bake it! I wish I could give the 10 stars!!!!

NEGATIVE STARS IF i COULD! I called a week in advance to order a company cake for a retirement party. I also sent an email with the exact cake that I wanted to them. When I called I explained exactly what I wanted, made sure they knew what I expected and that they could do it, and paid an advance on the cake which for a 10" cake was almost $60 for basic yellow cake with buttercream frosting. I had to send my husband to get it since I had to work and they close at 5pm. He gets there and sends me a pic of the cake. I flip out. I mean literally I am yelling and screaming in my office. It looked horrible. It was supposed to be a sage green cake with yellow, blue and white flowers on it. How hard is that. Well it turned out to be a gray cake with globs of icing in a somewhat floral shape and what looked like squiggly 3yr stars that were supposed to be flowers on it. It was hideous! I was yelling and finally talked to the person there and explained that this was for a company and was assured that they could do the job and what I had just seen was not what I ordered. After 30 mins of going back and forth about the issue, they finally fixed it enough to slightly resemble what it was supposed to look like. So the next day I open the box to serve it in front of the top managers of my company and I notice that the frosting has specks in it where they didn't mix it well and it is cutting in crumbles. I take a bite finally and see why everyone was leaving it barely eaten around the office. It tasted horrible!!!! It was like a mix between a sweet cornbread and a pancake flavor. I have had a lot of cakes and honestly I would rather have had a WalMart cake and it would have cost me half as much. I will never go there again and would like to keep others from having to go through my torment. Avoid that place if at all possible. They have no talent in decorating despite their website (I don't believe those are actually cakes they made) and the taste was just disgusting. Avoid this place if you want to actually enjoy your special occasion.

Prepaid my total cake order, the lady wrote everything down, then when I arrived at the business she could not read or remember the notes she had written down ! Her I guess her partner seemed to disagree and have friction among each other. Cake was disappointing and cake itself was very dry, I mean like days old! Would not recommend

to anyone, I realize it was not 5000.00 WEDDING CAKE, but it was special to me because it was my granddaughters 5th birthday cake, and it did cost 150.00 No stars

for this bakery. Will not ever order again.

I ordered a cake from them wee...

I ordered a cake from them weeks in advance, made to look exactly like a cake on their website. We picked the cake up the evening before my child's birthday party and it looked terrible. Absolutely nothing like the original cake. It was fondant, and the colors were horrible. It was supposed to be aqua and hot pink and it was a whitish, barely pink with royal blue. It just looked like they put in absolutely no effort. Like they slapped it together earlier that day. My husband picked it up and had no idea what it was supposed to look like, or believe me, I would have left it there. They were rude when he picked it up and the way they packaged it left a huge dent in the back of it. When I called to complain, (nicely) it was after-hours and they didn't call back after I left a message. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything, but they could have at least acknowledged the problem. Terrible customer service. I saw these negative reviews before I ordered from them and I wish I had listened! Go elsewhere!

I would never purchase anythin...

I would never purchase anything from Dream Cakes again. I sent them an email with a photo attached of the cake I wanted a week before I needed it asking if they could make THAT CAKE. They replied saying "They made that cake" in the photo I sent. The smallest sheet cake was $54.00, which was fine, as long as I was getting the specific cake I requested. The cake was to look like a "Sour Patch Kids" candy box. Again, they had a picture to go by.

They called me twice...once the day before I was to pick up saying they didn't know what flavor I wanted. (I told them chocolate when I ordered and paid for the cake over the phone the week before.) I told them chocolate again. The next day I was to pick the cake up at noon. They called me at 11:00 AM saying they wouldn't have it ready at noon because they didn't know what flavor to make. ? No apology, just, "it won't be ready at noon". I told them I had to have it at 1:00 and no later. When I got there at 1:00, it was finished. It looked like a cake that my 13 year old could bake. It was NOT a $54.00 cake and it looked like a beginner's attempt at the picture I sent. It looked like whomever baked it was mad because I wouldn't come get it later in the day and decided to give me the shabbiest job they could manage. It was pitiful. NO DETAIL. A rectangle with some tacky writing and some sour patch candy scattered in the cake box and poked into the top. I took it out of the store, but got so mad as I drove down the street that I went back and told them it was not accecptable. I showed them the picture I sent a week prior...it was obvious that they never looked at it again. The two were worlds apart in detail and professionalism. She said she could redo it to make it more like the pic but it would take 30 more minutes. She kept saying, "The only difference is the black fondant background and a yellow fondant strip down the side." There was more to it than that, but my question is if that was the only difference, then why didn't she just do those two things in the first place?? I came back 30 min. later to see that in her attempt to fix her sloppy work the first time, she had caved in the top slightly and had left fingerprints all over the top of the cake. What could I do but take it and go? I needed it for my daughter's surprise party a couple of hours later. Here's the worst part....she made NO APOLOGY at any time for her mistakes, nor did she offer any money off her substandard work. I am not an unreasonable person, and I normally never write reviews, but if people want quality and detailing that is worth what they are paying for, they need to look elsewhere for a cake. I do transactions on eBay and have a perfect feedback rating for over 350 transactions; both buying and selling. I got that rating by being honest and trying to please my customer. I am being honest in this review and this business has a lot to learn about pleasing a customer.

BTW, it didn't taste too hot either. It was very dry. That's the honest truth. I wouldn't add that unless it were true, because the service and workmanship were bad enough without having dry cake besides. I would have been better off going to Sam's and trying to decorate it myself!

Sorry Dream Cakes, but my experience was a NIGHTMARE and I promised myself as I walked out of your store that I would get customer satisfaction on some level. I hope you read this and learn from your mistakes.
