- Mercy Hospital of Folsom, opened in 1962, is a part of Catholic Healthcare West, which is a system of more than 40 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona and Nevada. The hospital offers noninvasive testing and cardiac intensive care monitoring services. Its over 20,000-square-foot emergency department provides a range of surgical services. Mercy Hospital of Folsom maintains a family birth center that features nearly 10 private postpartum rooms and a nursery. The hospital also operates free family clinics that offer infant and child health care, family medicine and physical examination services. Have always liked this facility. I am not sure I like the new ER set up where everything is done in the waiting room.

This hospital is very clean and well maintained, the entrance is beautiful and the color scheme is very soothing it takes the edge off of any medical issue I am about to face. The doctors are knowledgable and skilled in their care

Brought my son in after a wrestling practice injury. The staff from take in, X-ray and their nurses were very patient with my injured son. We were in and out within 2 hours.

Experienced the ER a few weeks ago. The process was fast but very impersonal. They triage right in the waiting room so everyone can hear everyone's business. Kinda awkward.

My son was here and the staff on the night shift-nurse is a horrid unfeeling person. Rude and uncaring. The rest of the staff is fine but this one nurse needs to learn empathy again or lose her job !!!!!

My best friend Darla Richards was omited.. 3 out of the 5 day stay was in ICU with 103.5 . The ICU girls recognized Darla from being a casher at save mart. Darla said the ICU girls to care of her like she was family! Thank you ! Being the I'm out of state and could not be there for my friend of 30 years. How Thankful I am the the ICU girls saving my friends life... Darla said the janitor was super nice ! The best care!!! God bless you Teresa Davis...ps Darla said the food was 5 star!!!

My 85 year old dad went to the ER at Mercy Hospital of Folsom for three hours only to come home with a $13,111.00 bill for some imaging diagnostics for a bump on the head. No, he didn’t have a heart attack, no, there was no emergency surgery involved. He fell and bumped his head. That was it.
The doctors there have told me that old folks can get confused and fall when they have an infection. And sure enough four weeks later Dad had to be admitted for a terrible infection. And guess what? When we went in for the bump on the head they didn’t even take a blood or urine test to see if he had an infection! The only detailed items on the bill were radiology exams.
To rub salt in the wound, my husband spoke with an outpatient radiology service. To perform the exact same radiology scans at their place would have cost in total under $1,000. This was in the ER but does that justify charging over 1,300% increase?
No one at Mercy Folsom will even discuss this with me. I’ve called repeatedly. Now they have sent the bill to a collection agency. I’m concerned that they are gouging the public and don’t want to admit it. They aren’t even willing to negotiate this bill. Is the legalized robbery?

Let's face it, going to the hospital is never a fun thing...except maybe when you are delivering a baby...but the actual delivery isn't always fun. But after being a patient at this hospital I was extremely pleased with the professional, empathic, caring staff that works here. From the front help desk to the X-Ray tech. and everyone in between, these are some of the most caring individuals on the planet. They help ease your stress, help you understand what you are going to expect and they do it like they really care...not that it is just part of their job! I highly recommend if you have to be admitted to a hospital for anything...go here! You will be pleasantly surprised!

Staff was friendly, empathetic and caring! Very concerned for my comfort level, and when they realized that I had waited for 3 hours for my xray due to the computer going down and my papers being lost in the system, they immediately apologized and compensated me for the long wait! Great Hospital, Great Staff!
