The best filling material of all isn’t silver, gold, or white—it’s no filling at all. We take a broader perspective on cariology, the science of preventing cavities. If we can prevent cavities from ever happening, we can eliminate virtually all the emotional trauma and fear that children take into adulthood. It’s not enough to just apply sealants and to lecture on flossing. In addition to oral hygiene instruction, we often take the extra time to talk about family history, nutrition, fluoride supplementation, and general health issues that can increase the odds of developing cavities. We’ll develop an individualized, practical strategy for both children and adults to minimize the spread of tooth decay. And when necessary, we’ll employ the latest technology to treat cavities as conservatively and painlessly as possible.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Durability: the composite resin in most white fillings is softer than enamel, and susceptible to dietary and digestive acids. Ceramic wears slower and last longer. Outside of gold, modern single layer dental ceramic is the best choice for medium to large dental restorations.
Veneers
In order for veneers to look their best, they should be translucent, (show light through them) just like natural teeth. That means they tend to show through the color underneath. You should always whiten all the surrounding teeth anyway, so that you can have a brighter smile overall.
Crowns
Continuity: Single visit crowns eliminate temporary crowns, which can leak or fall off. Either issue can cause discomfort or sensitivity. Your restoration is bonded almost immediately after it’s made.
Bridges
First placed by Dr. Brånemark in 1965, the root form dental implant has undergone substantial advancements in materials, manufacturing, surgical technique, and restorative options. Most of today’s implants are machined out of medical grade titanium, one of the most biocompatible, tissue friendly materials around. They are processed with special coatings to speed osseointegration–the healing of bone around dental implants. The osteocytes (bone cells) grow so intimately into the metal, it functionally becomes one with the jawbone. Because of that solid implant connection to bone, Dr. Le can attach crowns, bridges and dentures that bite, chew, and floss much more like natural teeth than ever before. And unlike human tooth structure, titanium is impervious to decay. So while bridges and crowns may rot, implant-borne restorations have over a 95% success rate over 10 years.
Dental Bonding

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment – the PIPS protocol uses laser energy to generate shock waves within the tooth, cleaning and disinfecting the internal canals and their microscopic nooks and crannies. Root canal treatment can be more conservative, longer lived, and less sore afterwards.

If your denture is loose, dental implants can be used to stabilize them. Denture cream or adhesive is just a stop-gap solution.
