Legal Research & Motion Drafting "On Demand"

General Info
After excelling in law school as a research assistant, law review member, federal law clerk intern, and graduating with honors in the top five of her class at Saint Thomas University School of Law, Krysten A. Pogue, the founder of unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, became an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit. While working for the government, Krysten handled misdemeanor cases including: DUI, battery, stalking, possession of cannabis, criminal mischief, and driving offenses; as well as felony level crimes including: burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, armed trespassing, felony DUI, and leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury. During this time, Krysten developed a specialized interest in post-conviction relief issues, sentence mitigation, and criminal appeals. In 2016, Krysten opened unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, to focus on the foundation of the law-- research & writing. At unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, we help people who have been wrongfully convicted, given unfair sentences, or need appellate review of judicial acts during trial. We also afford busy trial attorneys, solo, and small firms the option to get in-depth research, and tactfully composed motions at an affordable rate. Visit our contact page today to learn more, and to set up your free consultation. At unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, we cater to solo or small firms and trial attorneys and criminal defendants and their families who believe they have been wrongfully convicted and seek post-conviction relief or an appeal. unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, provides in-depth research and motion drafting "on demand" for a reasonable fee. Fee schedules include hourly rate, flat rate per motion, or monthly retainer depending on the needs of the client-attorney, size of project, and complexity of the legal issue at hand. We handle criminal law issues and civil law issues including but not limited to: maritime & admiralty, civil theft, torts, personal injury, landlord-tenant issues, contract issues, commercial litigation, FUDTPA claims, and much more. As a prosecutor for years prior to opening unKAP-ed Legal, PLLC, I developed a special passion for post-conviction relief (under Fla. Stat. 3.850 and 3.800) as well as criminal appeals. I want to help those who feel that they had an ineffective attorney at the trial level, were wrongfully convicted, or would like a lesser sentence.
