Fort Madison Veterinary Clinic

It's a real wolf pit. Rudest unprofessional staff and the doctor is a rip off. I brought my dog in to have his teeth cleaned and he died in the clinic. And dr hentzel still charged me $300

Dr. Henztel has to be the most knowledgeable vet in this area that I know of. I have heard and seen wonderous things he has done for animals that other vets would not bother to treat, other than the old standby of antibiotics. Hentzel, especially if it is something serious like cancer, tumors, etc..., cant get no better than him around here. And he actually does have a genuine concern and love of animals, a biggie here.

However I do have a problem with his billing. He has a billing program in the computer at the desk. As always he asked to see the bill before handing it over to the owners, and I have personally seen him adding to the bill, mine was one of them for $60 more and another couples for $125 more. Ive been charged with an office visit just picking my animal up after staying overnight when he didnt even talk with me. Ive been charged for a test that he told me he would take off if the results were negative, it may of only been $11, but its the principal. he is expensive to begin with, but either his computer program needs updating or do away with it all together, its deceptive doing business this way.
