Farahmand Plastic Surgery

When I read the review regarding dissatisfaction with a facelift and a tummy tuck I decided to write my story. My facelift turned out very well. However my tummy tuck was a disaster. My stitches opened leaving me with a large hole in the middle of my belly. It resembled a witches smile...one without teeth. I had to dress it twice a day with ointment and bandages. I did this for over a month. Finally the surgery healed. It left me with a hole quite deep in my stomach. The doctor said she would try to fix it but she also said it would never be a normal-looking stomach. She did try to repair it, but it changed very little. Now I have a terrible hole and a terrible scar. My lower area sticks out twice the size of my belly which looks terrible in a bathing suit or anything form fitting. The bulge appears "male" in nature. Suddenly the office staff became very abrupt and cold to me. The doctor suddenly was not as friendly to me. She offered me no further help to correct this. She just wanted me to disappear. So I did and now am living with this mess. The overall rating for the facelift is 3 the tummy tuck "0" if there was one. Barbara Kivel

During my initial visit to Dr. Farahmand's office, the Dr. and Staff were so very nice and accommodating. I believed I was in very capable hands, trusting the Dr. and feeling confident in her recommendations and abilities. However, after my surgery was completed and after expressing concerns regarding my face lift, neck lift, abdomen lipo and hip rolls; the atmosphere changed. I scheduled at least three apts. after my initial surgery and we discussed my concerns. Dr. Farahmand preformed a face and neck lift along with liposuction of the abdomen and hip rolls less than 6 years ago.($16,800) I was concerned after surgery about disturbing lumps, dimpled areas and discoloration on my cheeks as well as a stitch. She informed me that she would try to correct or improve on the results with fat injections at no additional cost. (She now offers free fat injections at no additional cost with all her face lifts)

The liposuction preformed on my abdomen also resulted in unevenness, lumps, folds, etc. She informed me that she would also redo my hip rolls and lipo at no additional cost. (except for charges for facility costs and anesthisia if required) The next apt. she recommended that redoing or revising the liposuction would not resolve the concerns with my abdomen results and recommeded a tummy tuck. I saw her again for a cost for a tummy tuck and expressed my concern regarding my prevous facelift. I asked her about Life Style lifts, she recommended that I have a new face lift. I couldn't believe it however thought that if I agreed she'd offer a discount since it had only been 5 1/2 years since she preformed the face and neck lift on me. I was provided with full rates, no discounts and felt so dissapointed and upset. They did offer me a discount if I had both procedures (facelift and abdominoplasty) done at the same time, costing $15000. I believe she and her staff were trying to discourage me from returning. I also had to wait over an hour after my scheduled appointment to see her. I truely like and believed in Dr. Farahmand and her abilities but she didn't live up to my expectations regarding providing me with satifying results
