Julie T. Cooper, M.D. (nee Abraham) received her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to complete a 3 year Pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She remained in Cleveland to complete an additional 2 years in the Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During her fellowship, she participated in research projects to advance the knowledge of drug allergy, examined the association of skin testing with inhalant allergies and the use of social media in the management of immunodeficiency. At the Cleveland Clinic, she also worked on creating a basic immunology curriculum for the fellows and quality improvement projects for drug allergy and patient safety. Dr. Cooper has presented at several national Allergy and Immunology conferences and has also been recognized as one of the area’s Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology.

Andrew S. Kim, M.D. serves as our medical director of the Allergy & Asthma Centers and is actively engaged in local & national media. He is a member of 2021 US Precision Advisory Board on Asthma. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, he has completed additional years of residency and fellowship training in internal medicine and allergy, asthma and immunology. Dr. Andrew Kim also has been recognized as one of the area’s Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine and by Northern Virginia Magazine. Dr. Kim is board certified by The American Board of Allergy & Immunology and The American Board of Internal Medicine.
