01/07/13 I took my Lincoln NAVIGATOR to BIG O Tires for multiple services including concerns with the AIR SUSPENSION not working at times specially in the morning after being parked for hours (At this time there was no warning signal present on dashboard).

Diagnosis from BIG O: Air Suspension Code error would be solved by replacing Air Susp. Control Module.

01/08/13 I was given a quote of 408.32 for the part plus the labor which would solve the problem. I agreed and told them to fix the problem. I then got a call saying car was ready. I went to get the car and paid the amount that was agreed on. Then I was told they had not been able to clear a code for which I would have to go to the dealership, but I was assured that the problem had been fixed. I was given a paper with codes and instructions on how to install the part. I took the car and noticed that the "check air suspension signal was ON," yet the car suspension worked on my drive home.

I assumed the car had been fixed, that it was just a matter of making the light go away at FORD.

01/19 AT FORD LITHIA, I gave them the papers from Big O with codes and was told that it would cost $99.00 dollars to see what was causing the WARNING to appear. Plus an additional sum of money for whatever they would have to do. (I was expecting a 0 charge). I decided not to leave the car with FORD and instead I took a quote from them went to see BIG O Tires to have them deal with FORD.

BIG O TIRES TOLD ME THEY WOULD TAKE THE CAR TO FORD AND BILL ME FOR WHAT FORD HAD TO ON THE CAR.

I took the car to the Lincoln Service shop and I was charged $118.00 for a diagnosis for the suspension. They called later and told me that "Air Suspension Module was not responsive and had to be replaced" the part alone would cost $256.00. I was surprised because that's what Big O had done and had charge me 408.32 just for the part. I informed Lincoln mechanics that the part had already been replaced. Lincoln then called back and told me that the part had never been programed and that was the reason why the WARNING was on. Once I told them of the price BIG O had charged for the part I was told I had been over charged.
