I only give them one star because I have to. This place is very, very unprofessional. First off; at the consultation they made it very clear that they wanted me to pay my portion up front, before they ever even billed my insurance. A little too clear. Then I was told that I would have to do their job for them and call my insurance carrier to find out what my portion was prior to my appointment. After doing this and being advised by my insurance what my portion would be they called me the week of my appointment and told me a different amount. After calling my insurance provider and confirming that they gave me the correct amount and the Urology Associates gave me the wrong amount, I attempted numerous times throughout the week to contact someone at the office to rectify the situation. Finally, the morning of my surgery, I received a call back with the incorrect amount still being told to me. I explained that I attempted to take care of the billing issue ahead of time and felt it was very unprofessional of them to call me the morning of my surgery, having still not had this issue resolved. I told them that I needed the surgery and would be keeping my appointment and would be glad to pay them once they billed my insurance first, and then me later. All this because I needed to get confirmation from my insurance as I did not want to over pay the doctor's office (I have been through this very situation recently.) About an hour later I received a message saying that they canceled my appointment. I called back to inquire why they would do this without my consent and spoke with an administrator who told me that it was due to comments I made to a receptionist over the phone about not paying them a dime and that they were only out to get money. I never said these things to them, nor did I become insulting, cuss, or yell in any manner. I then asked the administrator to review their recorded line so that they could see the inconsistencies of what I had supposedly said. Later while speaking with a few friends who have been there I discovered they misdiagnosed one friend, which resulted in giving him medication that he had a bad reaction to, and another friend had a failed vasectomy which resulted in a third, un-planned child. Stay as far away from this establishment as humanly possible.

Bad service when scheduling an appt. The staff is not friendly, and do not try to meet your needs as a patient. This was enough to take my bussiness elsewhere.
