Company History With more than 100 years of combined Yellow Pages experience, three former Pacific Bell executives founded AGI Publishing, Inc. in June 1985. In 1987, they began operations as Valley Yellow Pages and established a corporate office in Fresno, California. The first directory, “Fresno & Clovis,” was published in 1988. Today, more than 500 people are employed by Valley Yellow Pages throughout Central and Northern California. Valley Yellow Pages was founded on the principle of bringing direct competition to the marketplace thus providing advertisers with a choice in Yellow Pages advertising. And, the best way to do this is through creating an invaluable resource containing all types of local business and community information, which would also serve as an effective, and affordable, advertising vehicle. As a result, Valley Yellow Pages’ advertising rates are lower than the rates of its larger competitors, and its community information sections are award winning. With advancements in technology, particularly the Internet and mobile devices, Valley Yellow Pages has expanded its local search efforts beyond print Yellow Pages to include Internet Yellow Pages at myyp.com, virtual Yellow Pages at myyp.net, and mobile apps. As Valley Yellow Pages has grown from its humble beginnings, it has become not only an important corporate resource, but also a valuable contributor to the communities it serves. Print Yellow Pages: Delivery and Distribution Directory distribution consists of two phases: Initial and newcomer delivery. Initial distribution occurs when Valley Yellow Pages directories are delivered door-to-door, free of charge, to businesses and households throughout a specific market area. Product Development Corporation, one of the nation's leading directory distribution companies, is Valley Yellow Pages' door-to-door and secondary delivery contractor. Newcomer delivery continues throughout the year as directories are mailed out to newcomer business and resident listings. Valley Yellow Pages directories can also be obtained from local Chambers of Commerce that stock the Valley Yellow Pages directories as a free service.
