General Info: Following in his mother’s footsteps, in 1982 Jack Call opened the doors to the first AVEDA Concept Salon on the West Coast with the dream of developing a creative team of well-educated and highly trained individuals who shared his passion of spreading love and beauty. Originally located on 6th Ave in Tacoma, JAX moved to downtown Gig Harbor on Judson Street. In 2008 JAX moved to its current location on Harborview Drive while simultaneously expanding into a spa. Jack humbly dedicates the last 30 years of success to his mother’s inspiration and mentorship.

JAX Salon and Spa offers hard and soft wax services and sugaring with Sugar Of The Nile products. Sugaring was originally developed by the Egyptians many centuries ago; the name Sugar Of The Nile is a direct reference to this history. The paste is created in an environment free from impurities blending together a recipe of all-natural ingredients.

Manicure
JAX Salon and Spa does not offer child-specific salon or spa services. If your child is to receive a hair service, the stylist kindly asks the child to calmly sit still for an hour in order to perform a quality service. Children over the age of 5 are welcome to receive manicures with adult supervision. However, our pedicure bowls unfortunately cannot accommodate small children. Please contact our Guest Relations team if you have any questions about our children policy.

Acrylic Nails
People who are allergic to medical glues, stitches and acrylic nails and/or are prone to eye infections cannot receive lash applications. We offer a consultation with a patch test for people who are prone to sensitivities. Five lashes will be applied to each eye for a 24-hour waiting period.

Facial Treatment
