First, our sales lady and the two delivery men were very kind. Now, the bad. The deliverymen first explained that our sofa would not fit up the stairs. They contacted the "owner". They suggested we remove our window frame and hoist the sofa up to the second floor of our house. I explained that it was no big deal that the sofa didn't fit. We would just return it and choose another sofa. The "owner" kept shouting into the phone, "Where am I supposed to put another sofa on my floor?" I repeatedly explained that my concern was my home, and I was not asking for a refund. Also, the sales slip did not exclude a refund, nor was there mention of denying a return when we purchased the sofa. However, the "owner" repeatedly interrupted me. I hung up. I then suggested we try the sofa one more time. It fit! We did notice that there was a large staple poking through the material. The deliverymen acknowledged that it was defective. They said either the "owner" or our sales lady would contact us the very next day to arrange for a replacement or offer some remuneration. That was almost two months ago, and we have never heard from anyone at the store. I would NOT recommend buying from Holman House.
