NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AT ALL!! My friends were celebrating a birthday. I had gastric bypass 3 weeks earlier and my stomach is the size of a golf ball. I asked the manager could I order off the children's menu. He said no because they have to stick to their children's menu policy of being 12 years old or younger. I asked if I could order just the broth soup ($1.80). He said yes but I would also have to pay a $4.00 sitting fee b/c I was not ordering an entree. I explained I want to order an entree but a child's plate ($8.50). So instead of them getting $8.50 from me b/c of "their policy", then they only got $4.00 from me for a sitting fee. Does that make any sense?? They truly do not care about the medical or dietary needs of their customers. We will NEVER have another big birthday celebration there again!! The party total was over $225 plus 15% gratuity. I am sure another restaurant would be happy to have our business & money at our next celebration. Very poor business sense from management.

Great food and management. They are always friendly and they keep the atmosphere very professional. They get very busy, so parties larger than two might want to make a reservation.

On July 13, 2013, a group of y friends including myself chose to eat at Arigato's for dinner. When we walked up to give our name, the manager turned us away because one of our friends had on a sleeveless basketball jersey, with a men's muscle t- shirt underneath that covered part of his shoulders. We decided to leave & as we were standing outside there were several women that walked in & out wearing skimpy tank tops & very short shorts....as I looked at the sign that was posted on the building... it stated we do not allow tank tops....it said nothing about men or women. I went back inside & asked for the manager & explained to him all of the women that were leaving or going in to eat were wearing tank tops & very short shorts, he stated that the rule only applied to men! Is that so?? Well explain to me why it is not posted on the sign outside, he proceeded to say I'm sorry that is just our policy. Well if that is your policy then it needs to be outlined in detail what the exceptions/non-exceptions are on the sign that is posted out front of this establishment. I believe the manager did not want to handle this situation, he just wanted us to disappear. The manager handled this in a very poor manner. I have been in management for over 15 years & this not how you want to treat your customers. I could understand if we would have been at a fine dining facility, but this place is by no means fine dining. I will never bring any business back to this establishment, nor will I recommend anyone eating there. It is unfortunate when poor mangement & discriminating policies can have such a terrible reflection on an establishment .

Arigato is the best Japanese restaurant around! You will not be disappointed. Not only is the staff very pleasant and accomodating, but the food is DELICIOUS!!! This is the only Japanese restaurant we go to. If you want to be completely satisfied go to Arigato! And to top it off they have the BEST white sauce I've ever had! I would recommend it over and over again!

On June 28, 2011 at 5pm, I took my grandsons for a 'new" experience with Japanese. The 12 yr old had a sleeveless shirt (dressy - not tank top) on. The management refused to serve him. This boy has an anxiety disorder and was very embarressed about being refused service. The other boy has autusm. Both boys were very upset and did not want to eat there. We did drive down Holden and found a shirt that allowed them to eat there. We talked them into trying it out even though they were upset. They both liked the food and service but not the management. I had pulled the menu ahead of time so they could decide on the food and there was no mention about sleeveless shirts but "Proper dress required was on the menu. There were adults coming in with faded jeans and faded t-shirts which had sleeves and there were no problems with them being served. I would not recommend this location other than the food was good. I was embarresed for the boys. They need to treat everyone the same with "Proper Dress Required". I am giving low ratings due to management (not food or service).

Arigatos is the best Japanese restaurant in the Triad! My husband and I absolutely love the atmosphere and the food. Whenever I have been to other Japanese restaurants I think the chefs are either hit or miss, but at Arigatos, we have never had a bad chef. The waitresses are always very friendly and attentive as well. But to get to the best part....THE FOOD!!! It is amazing and you always have so much you have plenty left for leftovers the next day! We won't go anywhere else! You must try it if you've never been there! It will become your favorite too I am SURE!!!

Best. Japanese Restaurant. Ever!

Arigatos is the place to go for great food, great entertainment, and the best overall dining experience in the Triad. The chefs are professional. The wait staff is quick and courteous. And you get all that for a fair price for the amount of food you get. Heads up though, get there early. You can't expect a great restaurant not to be crowded. But trust me, its well worth it!

ARIGATO STEAKHOUSE: BEST ON THE EAST COAST

Arigato Greensboro is by far the BEST JAPANESE restaurant on the East Coast. I travel monthly and I often try other Japanese restaurants and I am left disappointed because I do not get the same quaity or food. Not only is the food great but the serving staff, management, bar staff are delightful and the restaurant is always tidy and wll kept. I recommend this to anyone who wants a fine dining experience at a reasonable cost.
