Backfin Blue Cafe

I am a huge seafood, and shellfish fan and eagerly awaited a trip to this restaurant based on the accolades regarding their crab cakes. They were awful.

We were seated at a back porch which was stiffling hot. There were no fans to cool off the 15 patrons or so who were seated on this porch. My husband and I were seated at a table which was in poor shape. The chairs were shabby as well.

The server was obnoxious. THE CRAB CAKES tasted like they were frozen, and had very little flavor. The amount of crab in the cakes was pitiful. As I was sweating the entire time, I regretted my decision to come here. It was not a pleasant birthday dinner.
Not worth $17.00 or whatever the price was.

The Backfin Blue is an old-school seafood restaurant in the best sense of the word. Cole slaw is served, rather than salad, delicious. Good seafood, steaks, etc. Outdoor dining on the porch is a treat. Recommended.
