Oral & Facial Surgery

I can't imagine wanting to voluntarily return to this practice. I have only dealt with Dr. Behan to this point and my rating is about 3 stars for that and 1 star for the practice itself. I have been in for work on getting an implant and it has been one thing or another since day one. My main complaint on Dr. Behan is that he can't give a shot for the anesthetic that isn't painful as hell. Every time...the worst for that I have had in decades. Every other dentist massages the needle to reduce the pain...with him...not at all and right where it hurts. Secondly, on the first time there to extract the tooth, the injection led to a massive infection and some serious pain and swelling. I should have left with a prescription for antibiotics to prevent that, but didn't. Several missed days of work due to that. The one star is for the desk staff. Rude...just plain rude. The office has hours and when you call, you get voicemail most of the time and when you leave a message you don't get a call back. Even when you do talk to them and they need to call you back, that doesn't happen. I get told one thing by Dr. Behan about the ability for a follow-up to expose the implant area, and the receptionist argues with me that he couldn't have said what he did, and none of the other doctors care what he did or said, but won't follow what Behan said was workable or not. No flexibility. Again, today I am waiting for ANY of the docs to call back since I wasn't going to argue with the receptionist, but so far....no call. If I can find another practice to complete this, I will. I would rather take a hit having already paid for the service they won't do, than have to put up with this place again if they can't take time to make a call.
