These businesses include, (i) Crowley Cellular, which by 1990 was the second largest privately-held mobile telephone company in the US., (ii) Conectel, one of the largest paging and wireless data communications companies in Latin America, (iii) Crowley Data Poland, previously Central Europe’s largest fixed wireless broadband operator and (iv) Salmon PCS, a multibillion-dollar joint venture with AT&T wireless to build and operate wireless networks in 45 US markets. Recently, The Crowley Group has developed and/or invested in new ventures in Financial Products (DEV-XM), Software-as-a-Service and Social Media Marketing (Citizen Global and SendUs) and a luxurious women’s organic line of skincare products (Tata Harper). In connection with such entrepreneurial and investment activities, The Crowley Group has arranged approximately $4.5 billion in financing and partnered with companies and investors including: The Blackstone Group, AT&T Wireless, SAIC and Lucent Technologies.
