Chariots for Hire

We hired Chariots for Hire for our daughter's Senior Prom along with 17 other Seniors. The Party Bus was equipped w/flat screens, music, neon lighting and had enough seating to accomodate everyone. This is why we chose this bus. The cost, $2,600.00, whether you needed it for 5 or 9 hours. We only needed it for 5 hours. This bus broke down 10 minutes after they left to go to their dinner reservations. This was a 2007 bus.

The bus lost all power and no music, lights, flat screens or a/c. The bus would only go 20mph so they had to ride on the side of I95 until they got to a rest area. Chariots for hire sent a Hummer to pick them up. They crammed in this vehicle and some sat on the floor. They arrived at the restaurant an hour late. The other group of students they were suppose to meet there had already left. After dinner, apparently they were able to fix the bus and took them to Prom. They got to basically use this bus for 45 minutes until they arrived at their Prom, which was at 11pm. The prom was over at midnight.

Although I do understand that things happen but when Chariots for hire only offered a refund of $250.00, I thought this was ridiculoius. I asked Chris(co owner) if he felt that this was fair, he said yes he did....end of the conversation! They were not apologetic at all, that 18 student's Senior Prom was ruined. It was basically "sorry about YOUR bad luck."
