Took my Dyson DC28 into House of Vacuums for the first time. I was greeted by two wonderful fury friends Royal and Redford.. The sales staff was a pleasure to deal with, I listened to there recommendations for servicing my vacuum completely for a fair price. When I returned a few days later to pick up the unit I was overwhelmed how great it came out. It almost looked like new. I would highly recommend this business to all my family and friends.

House of Vacuums

I have dealt with the House of Vacuums for almost 12 years. They have always been professional and very insightful with helping me maintain the upkeep of my Kirby. Their prices are reasonable and they always take the time to explain the process of the work that they will be doing. I am always satisfied when I leave. Their excellent customer service is why I return year after year for service jobs and repairs. I plan to be a repeat customer for the long haul.

I recently took my Electrolux Eureka Oxygen vacuum powerhead in for repair because it had stopped working. The lady who I believe is the owner checked it out. She said the rollerbar was locked up, plus one of the tubes had a burnt contact. She said for parts and labor it would cost about $200 to repair the powerhead. She then asked me if I was ready for a new vacuum, and showed me a new Electrolux priced $700+. I told her that I thought I could do better than that, took my vacuum and left. I had a friend look at the powerhead. He took it apart and found a melted piece of plastic. Once he removed it and put everything back together, it ran fine. I found a used tube on Ebay that was in good condition, and got it for $15 including shipment. It arrived yesterday, now my vacuum runs like a brand new one! Also, the very same vacuum she was attempting to sell me for $700, is on Ebay for less than $400 brand new! Beware of this business!!!

Overall
Poor business practice, attitude, ethic

In a recent encounter with the House Of Vacuums, I had my vacuum in for some repair work. After not hearing from them for almost a month, I stopped by to see what the holdup was. They told me at that time that they had to order a part. But come to find out, they had thrown away, trashed, my vacuum!!!! After much discussion, it was decided that they would replace my vacuum with a used one they were going to take in on trade. All in all, it took almost 2 months to get a working vacuum back in my hands. For sure a lack of communication, and they weren't very nice about it either. The male management part of the team was extremely rude and cocky.

My opinion is that if they have sooooooo much business that they can afford to run off what they have~~then I'm gone!!!!
