Holmdel Spare Pair Vision Center

I showed up for my appointment, showed my health insurance card and they were confused by it...they appear on the list of approved doctors for my plan with Aetna but they couldn't understand it and I called to find out about it while they were chatting with someone who dropped in to say hi. They did not make me feel welcome at all and didn't even say they would try and figure it out. It turns out that my insurance company isn't Aetna (so don't show up on their Aetna log in screen) but, my network is Aetna and it was spelled out on my card with instructions where to bill. I went to a place in Hazlet and they figured it out. The new place even said they'd call the insurance company for me. It wasn't about the money, it was about the service and attitude. I ended up paying almost $900 for a pair of Fendi progressive glasses - I got what I wanted. The doctor and eyeglass store got my business and will get my repeat business as well as my husband and son's business. Hmm, what did Spare Vision's bad attitude get them? Reminder - your customer isn't the insurance company- it's the patient. You didn't even tell me the price of a visit or give me options, shame on you.
