        The World Medicine Institute has been dedicated to providing excellent healthcare education to the World community since 1974. Students have an undergraduate degree and then attend an 8 semester graduate school program in Traditional Chinese medicine which emphasizes the traditional teachings and practices of a Taoist lineage dating back over 2000 years. Our medical education includes extensive training in Chinese medical theory and diagnosis, acupuncture, herbal medicine, western medical theory and diagnosis, as well as massage and qi gong. We may experience many different symptoms but not be diagnosed with a disease. For example, symptoms like stress, insomnia or emotional eating do not indicate a pathological issue. However, subtle manifestations such as these can be a signal that something more serious may be coming making it a wise time to seek preventative care with a qualified acupuncturist.
