I purchased a high end zero turn mower from Miller's two years ago. This year I had a minor repair done along with new blades, oil change, new oil and air filters and new plugs all at a very reasonable price. My experiences with Miller's management and staff is nothing but positive
I purchased a high end zero turn mower from this shop and the mower snapped 3 belts in 9 months. Each time I took it to Miller's for repair he blamed me for the problem, refusing to look at the mower other than to replace the belt. Finally contacted company and was sent to another service center where they found a broken bracket and bent pulley.
Miller is a client at my veterinary hospital of employment (I am a veterinarian) and he confronted me while picking up his pet When I refused to argue him in front of the clients he proceeded to call me a profane name ( a female dog) in front of the staff and and clients. Needless to say I will not be dealing with him ever again.
IMO This guy needs to take an anger managment course for sure. I had to call the law on him the last time I was in there. I went next door to the wrecker sales company to use his phone and the owner there said "what has he done this time?, he's a nut for sure"
He takes 3-4 weeks to get to your mower when you take it in. (who can go without their mower that long in mid summer?) When I bought it from him he said "if you buy from me, I'll move you ahead of people that buy somewhere else."
He had just one mechanic to work on everything, IMO that's probably because no one wants to work for him.
Worst customer service I've ever had and I'm 63 years old, a Vietnam veteran and I don't whin, (as the customer below suggests) I do tell everyone how abusive Miller can be if you complain about anything he does. He will cus you out and demand you leave his store!!!!
The one star rating I gave was because you can't enter 0
I have not had extensive dealings with Miller's Small Engines but I have purchased a Stihl hedge trimmer from them at a time when I was in a bind. Most of my business is located in Desoto County but on this day I was doing a favor for a friend in Memphis and was working on a horrible job that should have taken a couple of hours but turned out to be an all day event. My hedge trimmer broke in the middle of this job and i began calling local shops around Memphis and they all seemed a little rude but most of all overpriced. I came across Miller's on my phone and gave them a call. They were very polite and knew what they were talking about and their price was $8-$15 cheaper than the quotes i got from at least five other shops selling the exact piece of equipment. Their store is very clean and everything in the shop is top of the line. From the time I got there till the time that I left I would say the helped at least five or six other customers who all seemed happy with Miller's service. Later that day i had a technical question about the new hedge trimmer and I called Miller's and talked with John their resident service tech and he politely and knowledgeably answered my questions. He did not hide anything or talk down to me. After the conversation with John I called the 1-800 number for Stihl and talked with their Technical representative for North America and he confirmed everything that John had said to me earlier.
So, I've said all of that to say this. My experience with Miller's has been very positive. Their prices very reasonable. Their staff very knowledgeable and friendly. And the five customers that I saw while I was there were very pleased with their service. And I was only in the shop for about thirty minutes so I can imagine how many customers they have in a day. I should also point out this is peak season for them so their stress levels are at there highest during this time and they handled themselves professionally. Miller's will be getting my business in the future.

I have never experienced such poor customer service. We bought a lawn mower last Wednesday with a 3 year warranty and it started running poorly 4 days later. We brought it back up there and were charged for the service. My husband got upset by that and did become a little loud, the owner then cussed at him and knocked a business card holder off the counter. I called after I heard about the incident and said, " I want to apologize for my husband but I also wanted to let you know that in no situation should you cuss at a customer." He hung up on me, when I called back a woman answered and belittled me and made me feel incredibly abhorred. I filed a complaint with the BBB and I then called husqvarna. One of the customer service reps at husqvarna stated that they have received several complaints about them and I will be contacted sometime this week by one of their legal customer/dealer relation specialists. Do not buy anything from these rude people.

Least professional and shady organization I have had the displeasure of dealing with, so steer clear of this place. The “owner” is rude and unprofessional and likely making up “maintenance” reasons to avoid dealing with large company's warranty paperwork. I have heard from honest repair shops that places like this will let your machine sit for extended periods of time before doing anything, then claim your fuel is gummed up or there is water in your tank and it’s a maintenance issue, just to avoid dealing with company warranties. Better to screw the average joe then do more work. On top of that he will threaten to add storage fees to your bill and even sell your mower. Go someplace honest and save yourself the hassle.

Avoid this place at all cost. First off, the clown owner tells me to leave my mower out in the pouring rain while he checks me in and immediately steals a $35 fee just for bringing the mower in. I can't verify how long this moron left it outside in the rain, but two weeks later he tells me there is excessive amounts of water in the fuel tank. I keep this mower in my shed at all times, so I was confused how that much water could get in the tank so I asked what could cause it. Instead of getting an explanation, the fruitloop who owns this place went ballistic and started threatening to sell my mower if I didn't pay him. He was lucky he was out to lunch when I arrived or he might have received more than payment…save yourself the trouble and find a real business.

If this place was the last mower repair store on Earth, I would cut my grass with scissors before coming here. Anybody leaving a positive review probably was told to do so by the maniac owner who needs to up his medication or not be allowed to interact with people. They are crooks and their customer service is easily the worst I have had the displeasure to endure.

I have to say I wouldn't even give this business a 1 star. I wouldn't send my pet rock to buy any small engines or get them repaired from this man. I purchased a cub cadet mower from him and after loading in our truck and getting it home we noticed it didn't have any wing nuts on the bottom of the mower. We called Mr. Miller and he accused us of doing something with the wing nuts to the mower and then cussed my husband over the phone saying " The people are f*****g getting on my nerves about a wing nut. After hearing this my husband put him on speaker and told him he was sorry for bothering him he just wanted the wing nuts that came with the mower so it would work correctly, and if he had a problem with our business we would just go and get our money back. He continued to cuss my husband on the phone, so I said I would just call Cub Cadet about his service and the BBB and report his rude self!!!! Needless to say I will be using another service dealer for my lawn mower and I hope that NO ONE EVER has to be treated that way when they are spending their hard earned money!!! I advise to go to a Big Box store than to deal with this JERK!!!

I don't get it??? I've read all these negative reviews. I've been doing business with Miller's for 15 years and have never had the first problem. They have alwas been kind, jovial and informative. I have bought various items from them and always been informed of the length of time for the repairs, called if additional work needed to be done, and given the price before the work was done. Today I bought a new lawn tractor and was given PLENTY of options and info about various mowers. In my opinion...you get what you give. I believe ANY business is in business to make money. If people are going to gripe about the price, they should repair it themselves or take it someplace else. If you're buying something new and don't like Miller's prices...buy it at another location, but don't gripe when it breaks down and you can't find someone to do the repairs and shops like Miller's take care of their customers first. I will continue to do business with Miller's because "I" know how to act, know how I have been treated in the past and realize "You don't get something for nothing!"
