The worker caste is made up of sterile females who build and repair the nest, forage for food and tend to the young. Males are called drones and are produced for mating with reproductive females.
Wasps
Paper wasps receive their name from the paper-like nest they build. These nests can be found under the eaves of houses, under branches of trees and shrubs, under decks or inside pipes.
Ticks
An exception is flea or tick treatments. People and pets must vacate before our interior treatment to floors and not return for 2½ - 3 hours until the floors are completely dry.
Crickets
Pests like ants, cockroaches, spiders, earwigs, crickets, and centipedes are some of the pests that are controlled or stopped by perimeter pest control treatments. These pests usually breed outdoors and crawl in through cracks and crevices.
Earwigs
Mosquitoes
Mosquito bites can transmit diseases, such as malaria and West Nile Virus, so authorities in many areas take measures to reduce mosquito populations through pesticides or more organic means. An easy way to reduce mosquito populations in a residential area is the removal of standing water (where mosquitoes breed), and the use of repellents, such as DEET.
Flies
In the English language, the word Mosquito (Span., little fly) dates back to 1583; The word was adopted to replace the term "biting flies" to prevent confusion with the house fly. It is derived from the word musca (Latin fly, cf. Skt maksh) and is related to the Italian moschetta and the French moustique.
Centipedes
Scorpions are nocturnal creatures that spend their daytime hours in hiding. They consume spiders, small insects, centipedes, earthworms and other scorpions that cross their path.
Millipedes
Houston millipedes or “thousand leggers” are brown/black wormy little creatures about 1 to 1 1/2 inches long with many legs.
Beetles
Lyctid powder post beetles rarely infest wood that is older than 5 years, which places new structures and furniture at great risk. Imported tropical woods are more susceptible to attacks because of poor storage. Soft woods, such as pine, which are typically used for studs, joists, rafters and structural framing, are usually avoided by the Lyctid powder post beetle.
Scorpions
Scorpions are one pest that Texas residents do not relish coming across. According to Houston pest control experts, the most commonly found species in Texas is the striped bark scorpion.
Hornets

The Indian Meal Moth was named such by an entomologist that observed the moth feeding on Indian meal (cornmeal). These moths are one of the most commonly found stored product pests in homes, food processing, food storage facilities and grocery stores.

Aphids
