Huntington State Beach

This beach could use a little TLC. There was lots of trash in the sand, and the bathrooms were a little sketchy. Not only were they dirty, but there were some interesting characters hanging around outside. No soap to wash with and broken rinsing showers. Bring your hand sanitizer, and a trash bag. There were life guards on duty which was a good piece of mind when bringing little kids there.

The fire pits are definitely the main attraction. Tons of them are scattered across the beach and they even sell wood at the snack bar. It would be more cost effective to buy it up the street at a grocery store though. My kids had a blast roasting hot dogs and of course Smores!!

If you can get beyond the icky beach bathrooms (kind of a norm for the beach right?)... This is a nice family beach to visit.
