Riverton Middle School puts an emphasis on academic excellence through integrated technology, quality instruction, career exploration and personal development activities. Its facilities feature a science laboratory, gymnasium, cafeteria, music room, home economics kitchen and playfields. The school s counseling department provides career education, peer mediation and classroom guidance services. Its media center features a collection of print and nonprint resources. Riverton Middle School also encourages participation in various athletic activities, such as football, baseball, volleyball, archery, softball and cheerleading. Its art group offers information on calligraphy, pottery and paper marbling. The school s newspaper club works toward improving communication by reporting on campus events and special activities. Riverton Middle School is a more than 90,000-square-foot building located in Huntsville, Ala.
