I used John Steinkamp as my bankruptcy attorney & had a very pleasant, peaceful experience. In a time that I should have been scared, nervous, and embarrassed about filing bankruptcy, he and his staff made me feel at ease throughout the entire process & even obtained money for me by filing a lawsuit on a debt collector for calling my employer/parents/ex. Steinkamp dealt with all of the people who had been calling me and sending me threatening letters in the mail. He set up a payment plan for me since I could not pay all of the money upfront.



The money I got from the FDCPA ( i think is what its called) case paid for a little weekend getaway for me & the kids, which we probably couldn't have done otherwise! I guess John Steinkamp is one out of maybe 3 attorneys that do FDCPA lawsuits in Indiana. He goes after debt collectors for harassment. Its illegal to call your employer/friends/family members/etc, phone calls before 8 am & after 9pm, also, get this! If a debt collector threatens you & tells you they're going to take you to court or garnish your wages & DOESN'T follow through with it, you can file an FDCPA claim! How crazy is that.



Basically what I'm getting at is John Steinkamp is the attorney to go through! He's the best, down to earth, a family man, and is very professional with a good reputation!
