You are a piece of crap. I have proof not only did you put the wrong part on my car and charge me for something else but the other part was not even new you put the old part back in and charged me for new parts. Several do overs and a few thousand dollars and dangerous sloppy work and dishonesty. Unreal you are going to be reported again. No wonder your out of business I had to give you a start rating to post this but other wise you get nothing but a trip to court

This review is about AMADOR TIRES

I took my Ford Ranger in for tires. They called and said the front brakes needed to be replaced…. 'down to 10%' they said. Ok….how much. Quoted price seemed reasonable so I said ok. They installed new brake pads and new rotors. Picked up the vehicle and immediately noticed that the brake pedal would go soft in the last 5 ft before stopping. Didn't seem to be a bleeding problem but something was wrong. Returned (#1) and explained problem. The manager (David) test drove the truck and said it must be the master cylinder. They had to order it. When the part came in I returned (#2). That didn't fix it.

David said it was the right front caliper. His mechanic replaced the caliper. Didn't fix it.

By now I'm sort of upset. So I took the truck to a local Les Schwab dealer and asked the manager to test drive it. He immediately noticed the problem and had his tech (ASE certified… by the way; I later found out the NONE of the mechanics at Amador Tire have ANY certification) drive it….. 20 feet. He said it was the rotors. The ABS sensor on the inside wasn't picking up a signal from the rotor ring. The problem was the new rotors that were installed.

I returned to Amador Tires with this information and they ordered new rotors. When the rotors came in I returned (#3) and they were installed. Brakes fixed…. almost.

I now noticed that the brakes would grab when stopping. I returned…. again…..(#4). David said it must be a faulty caliper (the new one that was just installed) so they needed to order another one. OK…. new caliper comes in and I return again (#5) to have the caliper installed. When the mech disassembled it he found that the 'brake pad retainer' was missing from where it mounts in the caliper. So…. why didn't they notice that when the caliper was first replaced?

No one had one in stock so it would be Monday before it would be in.

Returned (#6) and they installed the missing retainer. Now brakes are fixed.

Do you think I'll be a repeat customer???? NOT

GREAT STORE!! Amador Tires is #1!!

Having been born and raised in the community, I have purchased alot of tires locally. I only shop locally. I used to use a local tire shop that has been in town for over 30 years. Service and products were always good up until about 7 years ago. I decided to try Big O Tires just down the street, and I was pleasantly surprised. Great products and even better service. They match prices from big tire shops in the valley. The most important service to me is that they hand torque each lug nut!! They just dont use the gun. Last year the franchise expired and the owners changed the name to Amador Tires. Same great service!!! Mark and his staff are outstanding!!
