Powerhouse Gym

The San Jose gym is probably the best...wide open, not too crowded and the staff is friendly enough (although they don't go out of their way to be nice to you). They do need to update their cardio equipment as they are outdated. My biggest complaint is with the CORP OFFICE. The staff (especially Rachael) in the corporate office I have found to be very RUDE and UNHELPFUL on multiple occassions. Their lack of customer service skills is amazing for a business that lives on membership. They had zero compassion when it came to me having a major medical issue that kept me out of the gym for 5 months or so after I have been a loyal customer for 3 years. I never received a phone call back after I left a voicemail nor a reply to an email off their contact page. It took several more contacts before someone responded. Everyone has policies but when a severe medical issue comes up that is well documented they should be able to offer some instant relief... I will be canceling and going to a different gym nearby..there is too much competition for them to treat people like this.

This gym is my second home. All the people here are very friendly and the staff knows you by name. They have a large selection of weight lifting equipment and cardio machines. There are no contracts and it fits in my small budget
