Admirals Anchor Marine

Buyer beware! Admirals Anchor Marine is not a reputable dealership. We were under the false assumption that you are better off purchasing a boat from a dealership. Not so in this case!



We bought a 1996 Wellcraft 260 Excel from Alan Webb from Admirals Anchor Marine in April of 2016. The boat looked clean, the engine ran well, and there were no apparent soft spots. Alan, the salesman, kept reassuring us that they only accept trade-ins on boats that are in great condition. We noticed that the aft cabin carpet under the cushion became discolored a few days after it was cleaned. We tore off the carpet and found a wet plywood floor, stringers, bulk head and transom. The repair is estimated to be about $12,000. We sent Alan three emails explaining the situation and we have not heard a word. We were sold an unsafe boat that could have resulted in a bad situation on the water and the dealership has taken no responsibility.
