        Steve Lett and Charlie Miller started Tri-State Engineering in 1979 with one engineer, a surveyor and one office administrator who offered civil engineering and land surveying services. TSE has grown into a diverse staff of 26 employees including engineers, surveyors, designers, CADD drafters, cartographers, planners, inspectors and support staff. The firm offers engineering surveys for construction record, construction staking, control, design, flood elevation certificates, route and topographic. TSE also conducts American Land Title Association/American Congress on Surveying and Mapping surveys and land surveys for state minimum standards. Other related services include GIS mapping, right of way/acquisition/appraisals, construction observation, public relations and grant writing. TSE has its headquarters in Joplin, Mo.

        When you talk to a company, an...

        When you talk to a company, and they talk down to you, or perhaps do not listen to your concerns, it feels bad. Leaves a real bad taste in your mouth. To the point where you eventually look around, choosing someone who listens a little better, and takes your ideas and thoughts and runs with them. I believe that this particular company needs a lesson in listening.
