Dog's Day Inn Pet Resort

Our dogs always enjoy their time here! The staff is really nice, and enjoy caring for their charges.

While driving past Dogs Day Inn I witnessed an employee manhandling one of the dogs, even to the point of grabbing the poor dogs throat and yelling at its face! I couldn't see what happened next but I heard the dog yelping as she forced it back into the building. Would seriously like to see something done about that woman.



The abuse does not end there unfortunately.

On another drive by Dogs Day Inn, it was stormy with heavy rains, and in the outside caged area were multiple dogs left out in the pouring rain.

I know for a fact that this is NOT the kind of treatment people are expecting for their pets when brought here.

I went to pick up our, twelve year old Maltese dog, today and they were unable to find his car crate. I cannot drive him home without it. He has extreme anxiety when in the car and it is unsafe for me to drive and for him to be unrestrained. The girls working behind the desk looked everywhere for his crate without success. She told me the crate had been there and was labeled. I insisted that she call the manager and find out if she knew what happened to the crate and what she found out was shocking !!! The manager "borrowed" our crate to take her two dogs home because her dogs fight in the car! She also said that she thought we were not coming back until the next day?!?! How could a manager do something like this? Our dog is old and has had some medical issues and she could have exposed our dog to her dogs germs and possible diseases. So was her plan to put the crate back and we would have never known? Was she going to thoroughly clean it? I really wanted to call the police! The bottom line is I want to get my dog, myself and my two year old daughter home safely. The girls then called the general area manager and she said she would go get a car crate for us. They also offered to refund the boarding amount... I thought they were really trying to fix the problem. This is the second time our dog has stayed at Dog's Day Inn, Katy and he seemed very happy.

This type of behavior is completely unacceptable from a manager and senior management/owners need to address this! You can't "borrow" other people's property ever period!!
