Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Always an excellent experience! Never had any trouble. Been going there for the last 4 years and you can tell they try hard when you watch them work. Some new faces their lately but they still get the job done AND they are always friendly. A little bit more effort on the sales pitch but that is their job obviously. Good job guys! Keep up the good work!

One of the "mechanics" there (Jeff) cracked my break line, pouring fluid all over the shop floor. He then proceeded to tell me that they were like that when I came in. My car is now very unsafe and un-drivable. I explained that my breaks had worked flawlessly before I brought it in but Jeff assumed no responsibility for his accident. I now face hundreds of dollars of work to be done (at my expense) and no car for a week. I understand that mistakes are made, but i found the staff at Valvoline to be very unprofessional and downright rude when confronted about my issue. I will never be visiting this establishment again.

I am writing this review after a conversation with Ted. We have been informed that Valvoline will not be covering the repairs or anything for that matter for causing our 1993 Honda Accords engine to seize. We brought the car in for a simple oil change and though the staff at the time was very polite they forgot to remove the gasket from the oil filter fitting after removing the filter. This is known as double gasket. It causes the oil to leak in great amounts out of the car. It is a Honda and it ran for some time before suddenly the car just stopped. We have video footage of the leak and two other mechanics telling us that Valvoline basically owes us a new motor. They (Valvoline) refuse to do anything for us. We asked that they at least pay for the repairs (almost $1000.0 discounted because the mechanic is kind) and they refuse. We told Ted that we would be speaking to someone else about this issue and he responded " Sorry, I am the only person you can talk to about this and we are not covering it."



The car is no longer reliable. This is a car that had excellent maintenance and no oil leaks before Ted and his crew got their hands on it. It starts sometimes and runs poorly when it does. Thanks Ted, we loved that car and we would have had it for a few more years if you had not ruined it.



Ted, we will be seeking expert advice in regard to this matter. Also, we will find someone else to speak with, starting with the thousands of people who use YP...We do not take kindly to having our car destroyed. Ted...you had one job...



We can only hope Valvoline will eventually take care of this issue, but I think it will have to be an uphill battle.
