V.I.P Nail & Spa

This is my dear friends experience at this salon!

On November 21, 2014, I went into the VIP Nail Salon in Kilgore, TX at approx. 12:30 pm to make an appointment for myself and some friends for that evening for a pedicure. After making the appointment, I turned to go out the door and I slipped but caught myself on the door so I did not fall. My ankle turned however and I heard it pop. (it had been raining that day) (to my recollection, there was not a wet floor sign out and there was not a mat). The “manager” (who is also the owner) responded by saying “oh, be careful”. I was embarrassed and thought perhaps I had just twisted my ankle so I limped out to my car and left. By the time I arrived back at work (approx. 5 minutes away), my foot was swollen and I could not walk on it. I had to be driven to the hospital by my employer and after xrays, I found out that I had broken my left Metatarsal #5. Later that evening, I went by the salon to take them my hospital paperwork and to get their insurance information. The “manager” at that point said “but you didn’t fall”. I told her “no, I didn’t but I twisted my foot and it’s broken”. She then told me that they did not have any insurance. She said that they had had someone fall outside their shop the year before and it cost them so much money that they could not afford insurance. She took my phone number and said that she would have the “owner” contact me. The owner has not contacted me at all as of this writing. I also tried to make contact through personal message on Facebook to which I received no response. A lawyer friend of mine sent them a letter requesting information and at that point, their insurance company (that they said they didn’t have) contacted him. I gave a statement as to what happened. To my understanding, their insurance company tried to also make contact to no avail and thus the claim has been denied. I do not have the money to continue pursuing this via the court system. I was just wanting the salon to pay the emergency room and doctor bills which come to approx. $2,000.00. I’m very disappointed in the fact that they could not respond and refuse to even acknowledge this situation and I don’t know what else to do about this.

Ive gotten pedi's from DOZENS of places around kilgore/longivew, and this is the best place! Ask for "tom". Its hard to understand them(its kinda funny), but you get your moneys worth!

First and last time I ever go. I got staph from the wax. Am still taking antibiotics. Do not get waxed.

WOW !!!!! VERY NICE SERVICE

I am not from Kilgore, TX, my cousin took me here to get ped & ma. It is a small shop, but very beauty. I was impressed with the case I ordered Tropical Deluxe Ped. Tammy, she did for me. Her service was very nice and friendly. Her nick name is " Cool Tammy". Thank you, Tammy. If I have a change to visit my cousin to will come back here.

I have been to this nail salon TWICE and both times I have received not only a pedicure & a manicure but 6 total ingrown nails!! This place is a JOKE! I also have a infection on both sides of my thumb nail!!! Thanks VIP nails for a huge doctor bill && two of my nails removed!

They do great job- every thing new - clean and place so nice. I will come back .
