        Overall

        Took my car in for an alignment (have a lifetime alignment) and tire rotation. The Pep Boys in La Habra refused to do either one! Wanted to charge me $5000+ in repairs. Initially told me I needed to replace two control arms, later they told me I only needed the bushings (?!), was charging me hundreds per side in labor for a 4x4 though my car is 2x4. Said oh came up as 4x4 from the VIN, told him again its a 2x4, oh it came from the license plate (what? from the license plate? that was their second answer). Wanted me to replace all four brakes and rotors, and four other parts on all four wheels. My car drives fine, no issues just wanted an alignment and a tire rotation as stated.

        So my lifetime alignment is of no use unless I paid $5k+ in inflated and rather bogus (in my mind) repairs. Why does the word extortion pop in my head? Tried several times to get a hold of a manager J. Lopez, completely ignored my 3-4 voice messages. Maybe I need to contact Pep Boys main office or headquarters.
