Ordered the saketome tempura plate. Everything, including veggies, were fried and very greasy. Absolutely no seasoning on anything. Bland, bland, bland! I thought the "tempura sauce" would give my palate some stimulation, but again I was very disappointed. I poured soy sauce over the oily entre' so I could at least taste something. The onion soup had one mushroom floating in chicken broth with a couple of one inch long, soggy fried onions sunk in the bottom of the small bowl. Sad, so sad. The house salad was drenched in very tart dressing...I couldn't even consider subjecting myself to a second bite. Two very bad meals that cost $40.00 total....we will not throw our money away at this restaurant ever again.

This place has a decent environment, and for a mall restaurant it wasn't bad. I was originally taken back by how much I spent on such a small amount of food. I have a niece who works here and she has recently confirmed some suspicions I had. There are ALWAYS flies buzzing around my food and my table. I've been told by other servers I've had that "Someone left the back door open", my question: if there are so many flies in the dining section how many are in the kitchen? gross. I was alerted by my niece not to dine in, due to safety concerns she has. Molded produce, lack of cleaning which causes mildew and mold, meats just laid in the fridge wrapped in napkins, and slimy soda nozzles, apparently among many other things. I was told this in confidence, but I could not bear to think of all the people who weren't aware of issues. It's disgusting.
(I have included photos I recieved from my niece and her coworkers: slimy nozzle, rotted produce, and sushi meat wrapped in napkins, soaked in other meats, just sitting atop of plastic wrapped steak above a discusting ground in the fridge, as well as a a bucket that is used to fill the soy sauces that go on top of the tables for customer use...its apparently always opened on the floor of the fly infested kitchen..gross..)

My husband and I stumbled on this new restaurant in the mall and decided to give it a try. Having been opened for only a couple of days, we expected some kinks but we were disappointed when the waiter brought out the wrong appetizer and then didn't bring us our salads and then said he didn't know that our meal included salad. He actually went and got a menu to see if we were right. We asked for silverware and waited for quite some time before a manager came by and asked why we weren't eating. We started to tell him some of the issues but he just walked away. It was really weird. On the plus side, the food was fantastic. We really need good restaurants so I hope that the service improves and that the manager learns to at least pretend to listen to customer concerns.
