My father in law passed away so we needed to sell the piece he owned. The 1st few times we went up there they were very sorry and asked if there was anything they could do'? (Then it got worse)They shut our key off without telling us and wouldn't turn them back on without a Death certificate(original, not copy) to prove ownership, when they new exactly who owned it. My wife was his only child. We live over 2hrs away and didn't fined out about their "new" policy until I drove up there. My wife works and doesn't have the same days off as their office hours . so it's very tough to coordinate. They also will try scare tactics and not send out emails for the bill until it is past due. (3 attempts to collect bill, if not paid the property goes back to them) in their bylaws you can read it. 2 separate times this happened, they said they don't have the right email or phone number. Even though we gave it to them after his passing and again after the 1st bill incident . one of his neighbors lost his property this way because he travels for work and didn't realize it until he tried to use the property. Had to take them to court to resolve it. I had to sneak in with another "camper" to check on trailer. It's destroyed, rats got in there can't believe the amount of damage. Now we need to get the trailer out and to a junk yard. Thats another issue, but the park is no help at all. Tried to sell it once, but it fell through because of their very strenuous back ground checks, worse than buying a house. There are other comments about this place being like a prison, have to agree.
I'm not a hater, I write plenty of great reviews when needed. We're still paying over a $1000.00 a year for something we don't use, can't use and will never use. Not just because it over 2hrs away but because of the staff. Sorry this was so long, just want others to know. Try an find another place.

Horrible rude customer service. I suggest the staff get off their high horses and realize they are just office people and rent a cops on top of getting treated rudely i had belongings stolen from me! I'm almost positive a few staff may have some sort of drug addiction issues primarily the woman who works in the office. I will never come back and advise everyone I know to look at other places and don't get stuck in a place like this..

Don't buy!!!
Poorly managed. Staff is beyond rude. Property has been in the family for over 5 years. Also other friends had lots as well, they have all since moved on. There are some great people there, but now it's just run down and needs a face lift, brighter smiles and a better attitude would help choke down the huge fees. Clean the lake and pools, paint bathrooms. The security guard should also do what he's paid to do. Stop harassing kids and take care of issues like people fighting and swearing at each other. Not going again!!!

We love Lake Connor! My kids beg to come visit every weekend and we appreciate the staff! We have met life long friends! Our kids spend their summers and weekends playing in the open air and are completely disconnected from any technology, As long as Lake Connor keeps this mission we plan on being life-long members! I can not wait to bring future grandchildren here to just be kids playing outside!

They run LCP like a prison and like to pad their checks by fining people. Some of their rules do make a lot of sence however even when you go out of your way to follow them eventualy you will get one of the staffers on a power trip that will tell you off. Then when you ask what you have done wrong they will let you know with a $50 - $250 fine. Yes if Somone is driving through the park like a crazy person fine them. If someone has a fire going and is nowhere to be found fine them. However if someone is comming off the 35 mph main road and it takes them 10 feet to get down to the required 5mph give them a break. If someone has a fire going in a totally enclosed cast iron fire pit and has gone inside to get a coke or use the rest room give them a break. Someone has to have a little common sence still. My advise to the staff. Get over your selfs. You are not that important and can't even be found or reached half the time. Ultimately we the owners pay your wages with our dues. In my book that means you work for us. So instead of walking around here like we are all beneath you maybe you should try somthing new and show a little respect. Just one mans opinion.
