Founded in 1853, Temple B'nai Abraham is one of the oldest and largest independent synagogues in the United States. The organization serves the Jewish community in Livingston, Millburn, West Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Roseland and surrounding communities in New Jersey. Temple B'nai Abraham offers a variety of religious services, including on days of Shabbat and High Holy Days. The organization coordinates a variety of educational and extracurricular activities, including early school, mid-day musicals, youth groups, evening high school programs, and bar and bat mitzvah lessons. Temple B'nai Abraham also administers various adult learning and social service initiatives, as well as provides a forum for regional, national and international speakers. It maintains a sanctuary, chapel, event hall and conservatory.
