Over the past year and a half, 1stdibs partnership with Lenny & Gene at M & Art has proven to be invaluable. They are an extraordinary full-service restoration and repair shop with a great breadth of expertise ranging from antiques to mid-century and contemporary design. They work with a variety of mediums and materials that suit the needs of our client's and our dealer community. They can repair just about anything from metal, wood (application of finishes), glass, to stone and have been extremely accommodating when it comes to in-home repairs, installation, or delivery within the NYC area. They are true problem-solvers and creative thinkers and without equivocation, I would highly recommend them to any collector or person needing to salvage a treasured piece.

I had purchased an antique medicine cabinet online, in shipping it was destroyed. Almost all the glass was shattered and the frame was bent. I thought it was a complete loss. Thank goodness for Gene and the crew at M & Art. they not only replaced the glass to look like the original glass from the early 1900's but the straighten the whole cabinet out and now it looks perfect. I couldn't be any happier.
