This was followed by a Master’s degree in Microbiology from George Washington University, where he also graduated from the School of Medicine. After completing his internship at New York Hospital, he served 4 years within the military where he began his practice of Emergency Medicine. Board certified in this specialty, a certification he continues to maintain, he was a full time Emergency Room physician in both trauma centers and community hospitals for twelve years.
