DO NOT GO HERE. I took two simple jersey knit dresses here for alteration. One needed to be shortened and one taken in a bit. I had been there before and explained the pink dress needing hemmed was for my upcoming elopement to the beach. I explained that depending on the cost of that dress, I may or may not get the black dress taken in as it wasn't needed for my trip.



They wanted $65 to do these two things, more than I paid for both dresses combined. I was asked what I did for a living and when I told them, the brothers told me I could afford to pay $65! I asked them what each dress would cost separately and they refused to tell me until I repeatedly demanded to know. They wanted $40 for a simple hemming because they knew that was dress I was going to elope in and would therefore need. There was no rush on the dresses as I had over a month and no reason to try and charge that amount of money. Charging $40 for a simple hem is ridiculous.



They had no idea that we were eloping because I'm seriously ill and we want to be married before I undergo open heart surgery. They have no idea what our personal lives and expenses are and to assume based on what they *think* I earn at my job is ridiculous. They lost my business and I hope they lose yours.



They charged $15 to hem a pair of pants but want $65 to hem a simple dress? They need to have a set fee for different types of work, hem pants with cuffs, without cuffs, taking in dresses, letting them out, etc. This willy-nilly charging and assuming they know what a person can afford is bad business. Nevermind the fact that my fiancee and I have a lot of clothes needing to be taken in...they lost all that money by screwing with me!!!!
