The Louisville Fire Department is responsible for providing fire protection and rescue services to residents. The fire department is a part of The City of Louisville, Ohio, which maintains other departments, such as planning, zoning and service department. It also provide emergency medical and fire safety education services to the public. The fire department maintains an aluminum recycling center and donates the proceeds to Akron Children's Burn Center. The Louisville Fire Department employs more than 30 volunteers and full- and part-time workers. Its team includes firefighters and emergency medical technicians. The fire department offers training to staff members in hazardous material response and rescue services, as well as continuing education programs.
