Atlantic States Insurance Company is a Pennsylvania-domiciled stock insurance company that provides personal, farm and commercial insurance products in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and New York. Its products include homeowners insurance, automobile insurance, dwelling fire insurance and workers compensation insurance. Atlantic States operates from its Marietta, Pa., corporate headquarters and a branch office in Greenville, Ohio. The company participates in an inter-company pooling arrangement with Donegal Mutual Insurance Company. As part of this agreement, Atlantic States assumes a percentage of the combined or pooled business of the two companies. Atlantic States is a wholly owned subsidiary of Donegal Group, a regional insurance holding company that offers property and casualty insurance in the Eastern United States through its wholly owned subsidiaries.
