Walt's Restaurant

Food and service is great. However, if you are in a wheelchair and have a handicap accessible van DO NOT go here. The parking lot is in total violation of Federal and State ADA laws in regards to parking spaces. My van's ramp deploys out into the line of traffic on the only two (non-compliant) handicap spots. I have almost been hit by cars on more than one occasion. Walt's has over 110 parking spaces and by law should have I think 5 or 6 spots with ramp access. They have more spots for carryout than for the disabled! A man's worth is not in his ability to walk! By not complying with the ADA law, Walt's is saying to me and others that are in wheelchairs, we are not of any worth and are not welcome. I and my caretaker have tried to contact them about this, to no avail. Therefore, I will not be going back until this issue is resolved. I have finally filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General
