I have taught piano privately in Monmouth New Jersey for over 18 years. I specialize in teaching beginners and work with them up through college level. My method is classically based; however, I am not so stringent as to not introduce popular, jazz, and standards to my students. I feel all forms of music help develop certain technique, and I present music education in a fun and enthusiastic way. My goals are to provide to you an understanding of the entire keyboard, recognize notes fluently, including ledger line notes, recognize chords and be able to play them, understand tempo, meter signatures, key signatures, music terms, and improvise. www.feliciasmusic.com

Piano Lessons - Piano Lessons for Kids. Piano Lessons for Adults All Lessons are provided at our Comfortable Studio Perspective students can schedule an evaluation visit to obtain an assessment of your playing level, aptitude, and have an opportunity to meet me prior to committing to my program (for a nominal fee). ADULT LESSONS: Making the choice to learn to play piano as an adult has its challenges. Trying to balance daily life with the commitment of practicing the piano is usually a difficult one. But many adults feel that they should have continued playing instead of giving up when they were young or have decided that now is the time to learn the instrument. For senior citizens the benefits are both psychologically and physically rewarding. At Felicia's School of Piano and Music, I try to tailor a program that will get you playing the instrument as quickly as possible without neglecting music theory. We will begin by focusing on learning to read and play music based on my personally developed classical method, but then as quickly as possible transition to learning chords so that you can play your favorite songs from lead sheets as well as standard music sheets.

Lessons are provided at my studio located in Marlboro New Jersey on Route 9 and Route 520 near the Lowes Home Center.
