Dr. Sanders strives to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere where clients can express their feelings, clarify their goals and expectations, and develop the skills needed to achieve their fullest potential in a healthy way. Dr. Sanders specializes in stress and anxiety disorders, including panic disorders, school avoidance, and social anxiety. She sees clients across the lifespan, providing individual, couples, and families, and also provides psychological testing and school evaluations. She has been a LIcensed Clinical Psychologist for over 25 years, as well as a teacher and writer, and brings to her consultations a vast array of clinical experience and expertise.She believes that warmth and humor are essential ingredients to the therapeutic relationship. Generally, the first couple of appointments will consist of a thorough history and assessment. Dr. Sanders believes in a collaborative, team-oriented approach with her clients and will be an active and engaged partner with you in your therapeutic work together. As a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist, Dr. Sanders may provide you with exercises to practice between sessions as well as resource materials. Dr. Sanders has given over 150 lectures on topics ranging from stress management to parenting as well as coping with grief and loss. She produced and hosted a television program on wellness and preventive medicine, and has written extensively on topics related to stress in the professions.
