Ernie's Tree Service

I purchased my home in 1999. The need had arisen to have some large trees removed that were threatening the safety of my home. I was referred to Ernie’s Tree Service by a friend who had used their services several times. They spoke very highly of the company and of the competitive pricing.
Mr. Johnston showed up promptly to my home to provide me with an explanation of the work that would need to be completed and a competitive quote. I did my due diligence and requested quotes from two other companies that actually quoted me a higher price for less of a result.
Ernie’s Tree Service staff members arrived on time and ready to work. All of the team members participated in getting the work done in a timely manner, and they were cognizant of customer satisfaction. I was very pleased with the results, as well as the fairness in pricing. I have used Ernie’s Tree Service for numerous jobs ever since my first encounter with the company in 2005. I have also referred Ernie’s Tree Service to numerous relatives, friends, and co-workers.

Ernie’s tree service is a very capable group. They were safe and efficient in their removal of two trees which occurred at the end of October, 2017. Their quote seemed reasonable as well. They had to work through a neighbor’s yard to get to one of the trees and deal with a very large one towards the street. I would recommend them because of their excellent work in the safe removal of the trees.

But – I would offer this one bit of advice. Actually no matter who you contract for tree removal services I would advise the following: After getting the quote make certain that provisions are made to minimize damage to your lawns – and that you would be there to supervise the successful completion of the work without damage to your property.

In our case it had unfortunately rained the day before – so we knew there might have been an issue. I was ready to accept a certain amount of disruption due to the conditions – however – there were significant ruts made across the lawn, a major one near a neighbor’s driveway as well as my driveway. Even under the wet conditions tree removal companies do have boards they use for their equipment to move across to minimize damage. It appeared that they had them on one of the trucks I saw.

I did bring this situation up along with praise for completing the tree removal work efficiently, safely and successfully. Unfortunately no real effort was made to deal with the damage. So now I will have to get a truckload of soil in the spring and rebuild the lawn areas. Not exactly the outcome I was hoping for.

So don’t discount using Ernie’s Tree Service – just make sure you negotiate and monitor the work so you don’t end in the situation I find myself in.

They came out and removed 5 tree's close to my house and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend them.

I found this company on the this YellowPages.com site and did not know them. I need a large tree taken down recently. This company was extremely courteous. The entire crew was respectful of my belongings. Ernie was very helpful and knowledge and straight forward. I highly reccommend Ernie's Tree Service should you need them for regular tree service or emrgencies. Definitely a 5 Star!!

I did not have services through this company but my neighbor did. They decided to throw my recycle bin into my ditch & after they had finished cutting my neighbor's trees they blew all the leaves into my ditch in front of my home.
