This past week was the third time we took our 3 year old Boston Terrier for an overnight stay at Tailwaggers in Menasha. Our dog is loving and super friendly, like most Bostons. He's very social and we've never seen him show aggression to any other dog or person. When we picked him up this past visit, he had a serious cut on his nose and it was quite swollen. I was alarmed, it looked bad enough to need stitches and appeared infected. The staff played the cut down like it was no big deal and told us that he had gotten the cut "playing" with another dog. They then told my husband that by the way our dog wasn't welcome back again, as he had "bitten two of their employees hard" and then added that he had also done this before on his previous visits. No one had ever said a word about him biting when we had picked him up from his previous visit, in fact the other employees had gone on and on about what a wonderful time he had and what a sweet nature he had. I have no idea what to think, it was extremely shocking as he has certainly never bitten ANYONE ever, and had been given a completely different story earlier! Something isn't right here, when we got him home he was just shaking and trembling for hours as though he had been really traumatized. I don't trust this place, and warn anyone thinking about bringing their pet here to be warned that all is not as it appears.

Don't take your dog there. The first time I took my dog for a grooming they did a very nice job. I decided paying more than I have evered pay for a grooming might be worth it. This was the second time for a grooming. First my dog was there for over 4 hours. I called and they said a groomer called in sick and they were short-handed. ok. Then when they did call me the groomer she said it wasn't a very good job because my dog wouldn't stand up. Gee, being a PROFESSIONAL groomer you would think they would be able to solve that problem. When went to pick Buddy up he looked awful. I could have done a better job. She said I could bring him back later in the week. After I got him home I noticed we was very off . All nite he laid there like he was sick or something. Then I noticed the one thing I asked them NOT to do they did. His front elbows were shaved down to the point they were bright red and scabbing. It takes a long time for his elbows to heal. Thanks for doing a horrible job, making my dog sick, his elbows raw , and hey charging me $57.00 for all this. NO I won't bring my dog back for fear he would come home DEAD next time. You don't have a minus star so the rating is not correct.

Use at your OWN dog's risk!!! I took my dog to Tailwaggers in Menasha for a regular grooming session with Michaela. Shortly after picking my dog up I noticed he could not open his right eye all the way. I called Tailwaggers and brought my dog back. Michaela was gone for the day so Kelly helped flush out my dogs eyes. Kelly explained that shampoo had probably gotten in my dog'e eyes and obviously irritated them. She told me to call if my dog's eyes did not get better. At this point I was becoming quite concerned and called my vet (Appanasha Pet Clinic). I was advised to bring my dog in ASAP. I called Tailwaggers asking to talk to Tara Kerr, who is the owner, as my dogs eyes were getting worse, not better . I was told she was busy but would call me within the hour. She did not. I proceeded to take my dog to the vet. The vet told me my dog had a CHEMICAL abrasion OR CHEMICAL burn!!!! When I was able to speak to Tara Kerr on the phone, two days later, she stated that I was was actually making my dogs eyes worse by following the vets treatment plan. I explained that I was seeking compensation as one of her groomers, Michaela, had made a mistake and now there were vet bills. Tara Kerr refused to compensate me in any manner. In fact, stating it was my responsibility to take care of my dog. Even though her groomer had made a mistake by getting a chemical, most likely shampoo, in my dog's eyes. I had been taking my dogs there for over five (5) years but will no longer be doing so nor providing them any business. I understand mistakes happen. However, for Tara Kerr not to compensate a customer in the error of her employee, I find that unexcusable.
We tried to help Ms Jessica Brown and her wonderful dog Bailey the best we could when she called regarding this accidental incident. We would NEVER intentionally would get shampoo in anyone s eye! We asked Ms Brown to thoroughly rinse Bailey s eye with saline and leave it alone so it would heal. She called back and was still concerned so we also had Ms Brown bring Bailey back in and helped her rinse his eye and told her to leave it alone. As we all are aware, when we get shampoo in our own eye, our child s eye, or our pet s eye, we rinse it and let it heal. She panicked and ran to the vet. After speaking with Dr Ewing myself, I found she recommended the same care we provided and suggested. However, since Ms Brown decided to take Bailey to see Dr Ewing, Dr Ewing had to run her protocol. She had to perform diagnosics, treat (rinse the eye with saline) and provide preventative care. Anytime one gets a chemical like tearless shampoo in their eye it will cause a small chemical abraision or burn. It is never serious, which was reitterated by Dr Ewing. Ms Brown is blowing this accidental event completely out of proportion. We feel very sad this happened to Bailey and we do all we can to prevent this rare occurance but like children, pets are very wiggly and these things may occur from time to time. As Dr Ewing said, it happens to the best of us sometimes but it's nothing serious, it will heal.

I moved to the area 18 months ago, and went to tailwaggers on the advice of a friend. Our 14 year old Golden Retriever responded very well to Tailwaggers, and especially loves her groomer, Amber. Our dog has multiple tumors and skin tags and is a fragile "senior". Amber is very gentle and thorough - consistantly a perfect shave & nail trim. We just aquired a 9 week old Golden Doodle - there is no question where I will bring him for future grooming needs!

WONDERFUL....WONDERFUL..Doggy Daycare! They owners and the entire staff are dedicated to the absolute wonderfull care of each and every dog that comes to TailWaggers for Overnights, Daycare and Grooming.
In the morning all I have to say to my 3 dogs is "TailWaggers" and they run to the back door barking because they are so excited to go to TailWaggers. Thank goodness they are building another TailWaggers on our side of town. We have used TailWaggers since they opened 5 years ago and now they will only be a mile from our home, too. We are so excited to have them closer to our home. There will be 2 TailWaggers Doggy Daycare's to choose from now.
