        Beer and burgers at their best. The Dutch Goose has a great selection of draft beer and a large grill menu. You order at the counter and wait at your table. While waiting, try deviled eggs.

        "The Goose" as locals know it ...

        "The Goose" as locals know it is under new management over the last few years.



        I discovered this place as a grad student at Stanford. It definitely looks like a dive bar but has a very tame crowd. Good selection of beer and great pub food. (Eat deviled eggs at your own peril, though!!) Sports on TV, bad pool table, some old video games, decent little patio area. And I've come to discover, it is indeed open during the afternoon and evening hours and FAMILIES go there after kids sports!



        Good place to hang out with friends, grab a beer after work, or even bring kids for a casual meal. And you just may meet your future spouse, like I did 15 years ago!
