I chose to hydroseed my lawn that was over 6000 s.f. since I was planting late in the season and sod would be too expensive. I will say that prepping the area ( i.e. raking it level and pre treated with a good weed controlproduct) was important if you want good results. I used a bluegrass and rye blend. This was less expensive that purchasing the seed, mulch and fertilizers for traditional seeding and about 1/8 the price of sod. It took about 45 minutes to hydroseed and that is much less time than it would have been for me to do all of the steps if I had seeded it myself.
Angela @ Veasy provided detailed instructions for getting great results and taking care of my new lawn. The installers were professional and prompt.
